Salam and hi everyone,

Today I will share my living space here in HK. For some reason its been such a mess this time for me to settle down and put down my roots. I've been here only for couple months but I already move 3 times. I'm hoping this time I will be here at least for a year. No more moving please...

Alright, so let get straight to business. I found this place through Craiglist Hong Kong website. The website is such hit or miss, you have to really check it everyday to get a good deal. Thats what I did for 2 weeks while looking for new place to rent on multiples websites. I'll have new video and blogpost coming soon sharing few websites that I recommend for apartment/room rent hunting. The payment for this place is 2+1 deposit and agent fee with a year contract. Actually, I was just looking for 1+1 deposit because of money constraint but, when I found this place with the price and location I decided to just go for it. Thank God, I manage to pull it through and make payment on time because, one thing for sure, it cost a lot and I had to pay everything myself.

The place located in Causeway Bay area. Its my preference area. Actually with my budget I should looking more on to the Wan Chai area, because they have better options. But, the thing is I just dont really like it there even though they have more restaurants and cheaper place to shop. I've tried to live there for 2 weeks and found it a bit crowded and dirty.

The building is not on the main road but the road that I facing on is still quite busy. Plus, they did a good job the window installation for the sounds proof and I'm a bit on higher floor so the noise doesn't really disturb me. Usually better window outlook means you are facing on the main street which equal noisy roads. 

As I said few times in the video, my selling points on this studio are the big window and the kitchen. Mainly because to get a place within my budget in the area that I prefer, I need to chose between lots of natural lights and kitchen. The windows cover the whole wall space facing the road which allow a lot of sunlights in. I can literally live in the studio without ever turning on the lights, because at night it got lighted by nearby neon lights. Although the kitchen is quite small, at least its there. I can cook and have designated sink. The last place I rent dont have a kitchen and I got annoyed to wash my dishes in the toilet and need to go to toilet each time I want to wet my beauty blender. Its such a hustle :P

Space is another whole story, dont get me started on that haha Here in Hong Kong, you get the space for what you pay for. You can pay 4000HKD for a room the size of your bed and free space for the size of your open door. Can you imagine that? I cant. I rather share or gaing back to Malaysia if I ever need to do that... This place is small but at least I can have my own space and have everything that I want in it. And most importantly, I'm very  grateful to have a safe place to sleep and live in. I did actually get bruises here and there because of me bumping into everything haha




This studio is fully furnish but I still need to buy a lot of necessities like pillow, bed sheets, plates, and other few stuff. Hopefully I cant get rid of these stuff or bring them with me once I move out. These are such a good transition for me to downsize and be really mindful on what I consume.

On the other hand, the high ceiling make this place feel bigger and more spacious. Plus I'm only 5 ft 1, so there are plenty of space above me. Because there are very limited floor space, I need to utilize all the storage that come in it like under the bed, kitchen cabinets and the closet. I try to keep everything vertically on the wall and make sure everything has its own place. Has less things possible on the counter and on the table to make it look clean and tidy.







OK, I guess thats all I have to share with you about this place. Most of the stuff that I bought are from IKEA, since we do have IKEA store in Causeway Bay. The store is small but its has most of the furniture and basic necessities. I can just walk there after work to buy stuff and bring it back without any problem.
