Happy Saturday! Have you planned anything for the weekend? I'm meeting meeting my friend later for food and window shopping. Can't wait! But onto today's post I want to share the dish from Wai Kee Duck Rice, Bowrington, Hong Kong. Have you ever try duck meal? This was my first time. The food is good and taste fine haha Just weird it out because I know its duck! Of course this is not the healthiest food in the world but why not. Thats the beauty of living, right?


Menu & Price

Of course, duck is not the only dish they serve but its their main dish. Thats what they known for. They also offer beef, chicken, lamb and curry or steamed. This is where I guess you can taste the pure Chinese food. And, on top of good taste these dishes are cheap. Its rare for me to find Halal meal for less than 50hkd. So this definitely a steal!

Taste

So, if you ever wonder what duck taste like. I guess its like chicken just a bit tougher and chewy haha I'm not sure if thats the right impression for food but thats the best I can describe it. Its a bit salty to my liking, but because you eat with plain rice, the salty taste is actually taste good with the rice. The texture is a bit chewy or a bit hard (I dont know how to explain it haha) and not as easy to eat as chicken. But overall its good. I will definitely come back for their noodle and fish.

I went there again to try on their mutton curry. And, its good as well. Its spicy and full with flavour. If you come here make sure to try these 2 dishes. I went there multiple times already and each time I order these 2. I cant help myself to try other menu haha Maybe next time...






Just so you know they didn't speak english so just show which one you want and pay accordingly. As for the drinks, they have plain water or canned drinks. We option out for that. Its easier. Just pointed out to the one you want :)

We ordered roasted duck with rice and mutton curry with rice with cream soda cans for 108hkd. So cheap!

Where is This

If you come to HK make sure you try this. Just google this place, Wai Kee Duck Rice or Bowrington Market, I'm sure you will find your way here. Make sure you take the elevator from this side of the market, as shown below. The elevator entrance is where the red guy is going from the picture. Once you go out of the elevator, you already in the the food court. The shop just right in front of you. You dont really have to look for it :)
