Salam and Hi everyone,

We meet again today. So as promise, I will update about my trip last couple weekend to Batam to meet some friends and have relaxing weekend. Its was a stressful weekdays for few weeks before that because of work load. So, I decided to have a good time hunting for food and be a little tourist in a foreign land.

My flight was at 11am from Subang Airport to Batam using Malindo Air. Once I'm there, my friend fetch me from the airport and we went to Tanjung Piayu to have heavily seafood dish for lunch as what Batam is known for.

Arrival

The flight took around 1 hour and 20 minutes. Its just was an easy and small flight. Batam actually an hour behind Kuala Lumpur. So, I arrive there literally at 11.20am. And, because my friend was working half day that day, I need to wait until she finish her work and come pick me up.

Tanjung Piayu

It took almost an hour car ride from the airport to the end of Batam. The view was breathtaking. I love how calming and riles it feel to be just by the water and had our lunch there. The place called Seafood Restaurant Jawa-Melayu Piayu Sea. There were a lot of foreigners and even locals having their meal there that time.
We had Chilly Crab, Gonggong (local seashell)-on the right, Adam Pedas Tenggiri and Mixed veggies.

Balerong Bridge

After the meal, my friend brought me to the infamous bridge in Batam called Balerang Bridge. It took another around 45minutes to reach there from Piayu. We spend the evening there till 5pm and head back to the quarters.
Near the bridge, there are a lot of food stalls around. They sell corns, bakso (indon's mee soup), ice cream, satay and much more. Since we just had our lunch, we just bought spicy corn. I never tried it before. And, let me tell you, its a must to try if you ever go to Batam.
After that we just went home, have a rest and refresh ourself. That night we went to have bubble bath. Practically just cut and wash hair. Pampering ourselves after a long day and have some coffee and chit chat.
