Salam and hi everyone,

So yesterday my friend and I decided to catch a sunset at Ocean Terminal and have a dinner in the city. I will share some pictures soon from the deck. It free and you can witness pretty awesome view from here. But now lets talk about food.

Actually we want to eat somewhere else but on our way to pray at the Kowloon Mosque there a few people handed out pamphlet of halal restaurants. Of course we are easily recognise as a Muslims as we are wearing hijab. So we decided to try one of this restaurant, and this place, Mr. Kebab Pizza & Pasta is right next to MTR Tsim Tsa Tsui (TST)exit A1. And this exit is next to the mosque. We are pretty lazy to walk further so thats actually why we choose this place. Plus, we never tried it and it has Mandi Rice.

If you Muslims come to HK, Tsim Tsa Tsui-Mongkok is one of the place that has many halal restaurants compared to other city. Rest assured you can eat just fine while you are here, but of course this is not local food.

Location

This place located in Hai Phong Mansion on Level 2. Of course they have elevator access but its pretty small, you might want to take into consideration if you come in a group or with wheelchair or even baby stroller. This mansion is across the street next to the right after you come out of Exit A1 TST station. And this place has pretty limited seats. I think there are 8 tables and 1 table can accommodate 2-4 people and there is 1 big table that I think can serve up to 8-10 people. We went there around 8pm and I can say there are not so many people but seems like lots of people coming in as the time goes and they cant accept people in as the table is full.

Price

The price is quite reasonable. Its range between 60-150hkd for food and 10-50hkd for drinks. It cost us 210hkd for 2 meals and 2 drinks which is not bad for dinner. Because if you are not well aware, meal prices in HK is different between breakfast/lunch and dinner. Usually the price mark up 15-30% for dinner.

Dishes and Drinks

We ordered 1 Mandi rice (75hkd) with Egyptian Spagetti (75hkd) and a bottle of water (10hkd) with Mango Juice (40hkd). And 10hkd charity. Its actually not bad. I'd taste better but this is acceptable. I can see myself coming back to this place to try their pizza or even eat the Mandi rice again.

The Egyptian Spagetti
This is basically a spagetti in thick mushroom soup with shredded meat and some cheese on top. Taste good. You can actually taste the flavour of the spagetti and the sauce.

Hope this is hopeful for any of you who plan to come visit HK... Have fun!

Love,
