Salam and hi everyone,

Today I'll share the images from our trip to Sambor Prei Kuk. Sambor Prei Kuk situated in Kampon Thom province. You can go to Kampung Thom by bus or minivan for $6-10 depending on what transport you using with 3-4 hours journey. Its half way to Siem Reap. So if you plan to go to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh, you might as well stop at this city, stay a night and start touring the site the next day early in the morning before continue to Siem Reap at noon. We stayed at Vimean Sovann Guest House in Kampong Thom. Its 8mins walk from their main market and walkable to nearby mart and restaurants. We just had noodles for our meal while we were there because there was no Halal food available, (at least we cant find any) and can not find decent restaurant that serve food other than beef and pork.

Highly recommended Sovann Guest House. Its spacious very clean, comfortable, have basic stuff like towel, tooth brush and tooth paste, fridge and the staff were very helpful. It cost us $9 for 2 people, with twin room and private bathroom. Sorry I dont have the picture of the room because I totally forgot about it, we slept and wake up early to leave the next day.

We rented a motorbike for $5 with full fuel for 4 hours (the stuff help us with this). It took us around 30mins to get to Sambor Prei Kuk site. You can just go there by bike and follow the maps.me apps direction which we downloaded the map earlier before coming to Phnom Penh. We went there at 6.30 ant the sun is still rising. Its so beautiful.

Entrance fee: $10
Opening hours: 7am-5pm
They have a lot of small temples and ponds scattered at the site but since we are short in time we just went to the main temples and few around it. We started at Prasat Tao then to Prasat Yeay Poan and Prasat Sambor. Because we went there so early, there are literally no one at the side. We are free to take any style of photos without anyone waiting queue for their turn hehe
