Today's blog post going to be a bit different that usual. It will be about where can you visit when you are in Kuala Lumpur. I have a lot of online friends, hence when my introvert kicks in and all i'm doing is be online, they are asking where the best places to visit in KL. A lot of them asking the same type of questions. The only good thing I guess when MYR rate falls is that visitors from all over the world are coming to our country.
I don't think Kuala Lumpur has a lot to offer compared to other places or even other countries but I guess it is what it is. So, I'm just going to share 5 places that I think you can visit if you ever decide to come to Kuala Lumpur aka KL. I will make separate post about the public transport and where the best place for you to stay with easy access to everything on another day. Just click on the topic to read more about it later.
1)KLCC and Aquaria
One thing for sure people will say when they talk about Kl is our twin towers called Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) or also known as Petronas Twin Tower. Its in the middle of the city and you can reach here by LRT Kelana Jaya Line and stop at KLCC station or by free bus GoKL. On another note, make sure you visit their park and wait for water fountain dance at night. And, if you have extra time and money, do visit their sky bridge, you can get cool view from there.Just not to be confused, KLCC is the building name itself, Suria KLCC is the mall located at the based of the twin towers and it is different entrance with the KLCC if you going for their convention rooms, if you get what I mean.
To go to the Aquaria, you need to do a bit of walk through the tunnel because its located at the convention entrance and on the other side of Suria KLCC entrance. Find Maybank or Guardian then you will see the tunnel. You can also walk from outside, the KLCC park to Aquaria.
2)Bukit Bintang
You can just walk to Bukit Bintang from KLCC. If you are at the Suria KLCC mall then you need to walk through the tunnel or KLCC park to go to Aquaria entrance then take the walking bridge on the right side of the entrance. The bridge will lead you to few places, one of them is you can go to Pavilion, walk pass all the restaurants to go to the main entrance. There, you have access to a street of malls like Starhill (luxury mall), Fahrenheit, Lot 10, Bukit Bintang area, Sungai Wang Plaza and lots of restaurants.
3)KL Tower
Kuala Lumpur Tower located a bit further than KLCC. You can get there either by train or taxi. For train, take the LRT Kelana Jaya line and stop at Dang Wangi station then you need to walk a bit to go to tower itself. They offer few activities at the tower which you can check it yourself at their official site.
And, if you have extra money, why dont you try the Atmosphere 360 Restaurant that located at the top of the tower itself. I've been there, its a fancy restaurant, rotate 360, quite cool I'll say and the food was delicious.
I will suggest you to visit this instagram account to see cool places you can visit in Malaysia.
4)National Mosque and Islamic Arts Museum
Here is I think another place you should visit even if you are not a Muslim. To enter the mosque you need to wear an appropriate attire but if you dont, no worries, because they will give you a 'dress' to wear just when you visiting around the mosque.
The Islamic Arts Museum located beside the mosque itself. Its just a walking distance and the fee is super reasonable.
5) Batu Caves
Batu Caves is caves temple located outside of KL city. Its popular because of the Murugan statue and the stairs. You can get there by KTM train. From KL sentral, go to KTM station area and choose Batu Caves line. Take the train and stop at Batu Caves station. Its the last station if I'm not mistaken.
Can you believe that I actually never been here? I mean I pass through the place many times and see the statue but I never actually stop there and climb up the stairs. It's in my bucket list this year! I will blog about it. Do you want to join me? hehe
Well I'm sure there are a lot other places that you can visit while you are in KL but I these are the places that appeal to me, at least for now.
Have you been to KL before? If yes, where else did you visit? Love it? Hate it? If no, when are you coming? What are other places that in your list you want to go?
